Feedscrews
|
|
Feedscrews are a particular area of expertise for Zepf Technologies UK. The main purpose of a feedscrew (sometimes known as a scroll, feedscroll, worm or auger) is to collect, transfer and time a container accurately to a desired position. The customised design by Zepf UK ensures that these transitions can be completed as smoothly as possible.
Investment in our unique custom-made feedscrew design software and a 4-axis CNC milling machine allows us to manufacture feedscrews for both common and specialised applications.
The software can visually illustrate the movement of a container through the feedscrew and verify that the pocket shape is correct. This function enables the designer to be 100% confident that the best practical solution has been reached for a specific container and particular application.
Using leading edge technology enables us to design the best feedscrews in the packaging industry and gives us a distinct competitive advantage in the production of feedscrews to handle difficult and complex shaped containers.
The quick release system, similar to that for our changeparts, allows removal and replacement of the feedscrew without the need for tools or any timing adjustments. As with the changeparts, Zepf UK feedscrews are normally manufactured from 1000 grade Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) polyethylene that has been proven over many years to be the most suitable material for most applications. On occasions, where appropriate, we may recommend the use of different materials.

• Combine 2 lanes to 1 lane
