WIDTH AND HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE CONVEYOR GUIDE-RAILS

Using the same design principles as our quick changeover parts Zepf UK’s designers have developed a unique quick size change guide-rail system that enables repeatable changeovers to be carried out by line operators. The main benefits of this Zepf UK patented guide-rail system are:-

To adjust the guide-rails the operator releases the handles then slides the guide-rail forward and rotates the spider to the appropriate colour-coded setting for the new container size. Once the correct arm of the spider is in position the guide-rail is pulled back and locked in position using the screw-down handles. For some applications it is also advisable to use height adjustable settings – this function can be built into the design. e.g. for a family of containers with the same footprint the taller examples can be accommodated by increasing the height on the guide-rail.

Where there are long sections of guide-rail it is normally necessary make only one side adjustable. Since these guide-rails are a customised design for every application it is possible to design-in customer-requested features such as reject points or operator inspection points.

As with our container handling changeparts we only ever use the highest quality materials – 316 stainless steel and 1000 grade UHMWpe.
